
We have had a number of clients report this message, from what we have found out the error is an ODBC error from Windows and not from Cygnus. It looks like it is due to a specific Windows update. Please see the link below as this explains how and what your IT team will need to do to fix the problem. This may also explain why it might be present on one Server but not the other.

In the interim, if you require the file to be downloaded I would suggest saving the file as a CSV and then download that into Cygnus.
Warning
If you are linking to and XLS file via ODBC there is the possibility of formatting errors such as the removal of leading zeros from numeric fields. With this in mind, it may be better practice to save XLS files as CSV and import in this format to avoid any issues in the future.
