This guide will cover how to Create, Edit, Revoke, Delete and cover offline activation and deactivation of a LimeLM licence.
Creating a Product Key
To create a new Sort product key, click 'New product key'.
Now you'll be taken to the page where you fill out the requirements to create a new key.
You will now need to enter the name of the company for whom the key is for. It also allows you to search for the key via the company name under Advanced search.
Here you enter how many keys you want to make. This is specified by the client.
This is where you choose how the key is activated and choose if the key can be used on a Virtual Machine (VM) or not.
Here you choose how many computers can use the same product key.
You can leave this setting as default, unless it has been specified and authorised.
At this stage you need to enter the company name but it must match the same name as the name you've entered in the 'Email' field at the beginning and can choose the expiry date.
You have a choice of five licence levels each with a different number of active features. This would be defined by the client.
If a client wants to have some features but not wanting a full 'Bronze, Silver or Gold' licence, you can do this in the 'Custom' section, but ensure you click '06 Custom' before choosing what features you want to enable.
You can also add a comment if needed, for instance if the key is replacing another one just say its replacing key ----------.
Then once you have finished you can click 'Create product key'.
Once you have created your key, you'll see a summery page with your generated key and what access it has.
Editing, Revoking and Deleting a Product Key
You always have the option to go back and edit the product key, to change the expiry date and what features are allowed. You can also Revoke the product key to stop it being used. You will see the below message to if a key has been revoked but you can always re-enable the the key if it has been authorised.
If you want to delete a product key click 'Delete product key' and you'll see the message below appear where the product key was.
If you are sure you want to delete the key, click the 'Permanently delete' button at the bottom of the page to delete the product key.

Offline Activation
To activate offline, you go to the activation window, but instead of clicking 'Activate' under online, you select 'Save Request file' and then ask the client to send over the generated .xml file (product,Request,licenece.xml). You must have the product key populated with the licence before clicking 'Save Request file'.
Once you have received the request .xml file, go to the dashboard on LimeLM and select 'Manual activation'.
Once you are on the manual activation page, you will need to upload the request .xml file. This can be done my dragging the .xml file over the 'Choose file' button or by clicking the 'Choose file' button and navigating to the .xml file normally
Once you have uploaded the .xml file you can select how long the response file will be active for, and then click the 'Activate or Deactivate' button
You will then see the below window appear and now you will want to download the activation response file, so you can send it to your client.
Then the client will need to search for the activation response file you have sent, by clicking the 'Open Activation File' and browsing to the location and selecting the file.
Once selected the client should see the below popup to say the licence has been activated offline successfully
Offline Deactivation
Offline deactivation is a very similar process to offline activation.
The client will need to click 'Save Deactivation File' and then send over the generated .xml file (productDeactivationRequest.xml)
They will see the below popup window, and will have to click OK to generate the file.
Once you have received the deactivation request .xml file, go to the dashboard on LimeLM and select 'Manual activation'.
Once you are on the manual activation page, you will need to upload the deactivation request .xml file. This can be done my dragging the .xml file over the 'Choose file' button or by clicking the 'Choose file' button and navigating to the .xml file normally
Once the deactivation request file has been uploaded, click on the click the 'Activate or Deactivate' button at the bottom of the page, and then you should see the below massage displayed on your screen.
